AMVER AWARDS 2012

The presentation of the 2012 annual AMVER awards was celebrated in a dinner held at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel on Tuesday 22nd October 2013.

During the celebration 1.209 Greek controlled ships received AMVER awards for their participation with at least 128 days in the year 2012, which number is a new record bringing Greece once more No.1 in awards.

The awards were presented by the Greek Minister of Shipping Maritime Affairs and the Aegean Mr. Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, CDR Jonathan Schwartz, Naval Attache, US Defense Attache Office Athens, the President of the International Propeller Club of the United States Mr. George C. Xiradakis, the Secretary General of the International Propeller Club of the United States Mrs. Yanna Pavlopoulou and others.

Tsakos Group  received the awards for 53 vessels and shared the second place with "Enterprises Shipping & Trading S.A.".

Special award given to our managed vessels "Triathlon" & "Stella" for the rescue of the human life.
