Certification ISO 14001

On 7th June 2000 the company was accredited by the Chairman of Lloyds Register of Shipping, London, Mr David Moorhouse, for its Environmental Management System to the Standards of ISO 14001 .

Tsakos Shipping & Trading S.A was the first shipping company in Greece to achieve such accreditations though Lloyds Register of Shipping and was amongst the first shipping operators in the world to implement the requirements of ISO 14001 and set up an Environmental Management System.
