Green Projects

The Group's environmental concerns are reflected, beyond the environmentally optimised operation of the Fleet, in  the development of diversified green energy projects.

 

Since the 1980s, the Group has actively been involved in the development of Uruguay's fertile agro-forestry industry, livestock and agricultural business. Apart from its substantial livestock and agricultural holdings, the Group has entered into partnership with a major player in the forestry industry, ForesurS.A., which plans, guides and implements an environmentally sustainable agro-forestry strategy. 

 

The participation of the Group in a 10 MW/h biomass electric power station in Tacuarembo, Uruguay, was envisioned on the grounds of connecting climate, energy and the community and marked a significant milestone towards a more sustainable energy future for the country.

 

The Group is also involved in solar energy production units in Greece.
